Oon is on the bus route near Barwani. It is a Siddha Kshetra. Swarnbhadra and many other munis got salvation here. The place is known for numerous wonders. The population of the town is 4000 having dispensary, police station, post office, school etc. Oon is 145 kms from Indore , 104 kms from Khandwa, 83 kms from Sanavad. The route from Khandwa and Sanavad is via Khargon and route from Indore is via Barwani-Julwania.

There are three temples. Gwaleshwar or Shantinath temple is nearly 200 metres, far from Kshetra. The temples here are of 11 th and 12 th centuries. There is a big Dharmshala with all facilities available.

Siddhavar-Koot is adjacent to Mandhata (On Kareshwar), 88 kms from Oon via Sanavad by road. The road is made of metal. It is 19 kms from Badwah Railway Station-on Indore-Khandwa rail route. There is a mountain between the two rivers, the Narmada & Kaveri. The well known pilgrimage centre of Hindus, Omkareshwar, is situated on the mountain. On the opposite bank of Narmada is Siddhavar-Koot, Siddha kshetra. From Siddhavar-Koot 2 Chakravarties, 10 kamdev and innumerable (Munis) ascetics attained salvation. Ten Jain temples and fourteen Dharmshalas having 64 rooms with facilities of light and water are there. Annual fair from 28 th to 30 th of Hindu month of Phalgun is held.
